Quantitative Seismology is a highly theoretical professional basic course. According to the needs of training research talents. the objective of this course is to enable students to master the basic equations of elastic dynamics of quantitative seismology, displacement representation theorem, source representation theorem, Green function concept and solution method, seismic wave scattering problem, uniform infinite space Green's function, plane wave propagation characteristics at elasticis discontinuities, and establishing a definite solution to the seismic wave propagation equation based on the quantitative description of the source. Through the systematic study of this course, the aim is to enable students to master the basic principles and methods of quantitative seismology, establish the basic ideas for solving the problem of seismology forward and inversion, familiarize with the specific content and basic processes of quantitative seismology. And train students to apply mathematical methods, the principles of geophysical methods, the ability to carry out conprehensive application of quantitative seismic theory to raise questiong, analyze problems, research problems and solve abstract problem thinking methods and quantitative representation, for the comprehensive application of quantitative seismology to solve geoscience problems and to engage in geophysics in the future the research work lays a solid professional foundation.
