现代文明是以科学为核心的文明，科学在现代社会中占据极为重要的地位。本课程将介绍科学传统在中国的形成和壮大过程，包括科学在中国的早期传播、科学教育在中国的兴起、留学与科学家群体的形成、科学研究在中国的建制化、不同历史时期中国的科研工作、科研成就和不足等。 Modern civilization is a civilization with science as its core. Science occupies a very important position in modern society. This course will introduce the formation and growth of scientific tradition in China, including the early dissemination of Science in China, the rise of scientific education in China, studying abroad and the formation of scientists, the institutionalization of scientific research in China, China's scientific research work, achievements and shortcomings in different historical periods, etc.
This course will help students understand the historical origin and development of Chinese philosophy, enhance the understanding of Chinese traditional culture, strengthen the qualities of humanity, expand the academic view and facilitate the integration of arts and science.
