This course covers the following topics: fundamentals concepts of aerodynamics, principles of invisicid incompressible flows, invisicid, incompressible flows over airfoils and finite wings, fundamental equations governing compressible fluid flow, quasi-one-dimensional isentropic flow and normal shock, etc. By learning this course, students can rapidly apply fundamental principles of physics, formulate and apply appropriate aerodynamic models, and assess the applicability of various aerodynamic models, thus making the basis for their future research work on aerodynamics and aircraft design.
