MIS5001 is a graduate-level course for students interested in gametheory, mechanism design, and auction. This course is intended to familiarizestudents with the concepts of equilibrium, complete information game, incomplete information game, screening model, and auctions. In addition, thiscourse provides a platform for students interested in research and gives studentsthe opportunity to present advanced research papers and construct models basedon game theory, mechanism design theory, and auction theory. This course covers the classical theories on game theory, signaling model, screening model, auction model, and the advanced knowledgepublished in recent papers in the first half of the semester. In the secondhalf of the semester, students will be trained to apply the classical theory anddigest advances on the above theories through paper presentation and in-classdiscussion.
