精神病学是临床医学的重要分支学科，是研究精神障碍的病因、发病机制、临床表现、诊断、治疗、康复、预防以及与其他联系学科关系的一门科学。安排这门课程的目的，在于使学生理解生物、心理、社会等因素对精神活动和躯体状况的影响，并在未来的医学实践中真正贯彻生物-心理-社会医学模式，能识别常见的精神症状，并对常见精神障碍作出诊断与常规处理。
Psychiatryis an important branch of clinical medicine. It is a science that studies theetiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment,rehabilitation, prevention and relationship with other related disciplines ofmental disorders. The course is to enable students understand the effects ofbiological, psychological, social and other factors on mental activities andphysical conditions, and to truly implement the bio-psycho-social medical modelin future medical practice. Studentscould recognize acommon mental symptom,diagnose and conduct a routine treatment of common mental disorders.
