理论课，3学分，每周3学时。先修课程：工程流体力学（MAE207）或流体力学（MAE303）。本课程关注与气动声学相关的一系列实际问题的分析与求解，例如声波在自由空间、不连续表面、管道及共振腔内的传播，以及来自喷流、翼型、燃烧等现象的噪声源和不连续表面处的镜像声源。课程同时探索通过降低噪声源或在声传播路径上进行声衰减的降噪方法。
Lecture, 3 credits, 3hours per week. Pre-request: Engineering Fluid Mechanics (MAE207) or FluidMechanics (MAE303). Thiscourse analyses and solves a range of practical problems associated withaeroacoustics. Examples include modelling of sound waves propagation in freespace, at discontinuities and within pipes and resonators, and noise sourcesfrom jets, combustion, aerofoils, etc. and their image sources near surfacediscontinuities. The course also explores ways to reduce noise either at thesource or through acoustic damping along the propagation path.
