As a bridge between basic medicine and clinical medicine, this course focuses on the basic principles of pathophysiology needed to begin a career in the health care professions, such as medicine and dentistry. This course explains the functions of abnormal states, specifically, the functional changes that accompany a particular syndrome or disease, and the mechanisms underlying these changes.
