This course includes introduction, patient-centered health care, family as a vital unit of health care, prevention-oriented health care, health management and health risk assessment, doctor-patient communication and legal issues in general practice, general practice treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, etc. It is a comprehensive medical specialty that integrates clinical medicine, preventive medicine, rehabilitation medicine, and related humanities and social sciences for communities and families. It is a clinical secondary discipline. The scope involves various ages, genders, various organ systems, and various diseases. By studying this course, students will be able to master the basic concepts and main principles of general practice, understand the service mode of general practice and the role of general practitioners, and cultivate medical students’ interest in general practice. Lay a theoretical foundation for studying other courses of medical science and engaging in community service.
