This lab course is designed for senior students in marine life, environmental biology, marine sciences, etc. to highlight marine characteristics and enable students to receive initial training in scientific research, including the cultivation and physiological and biochemical determination of marine archaea, counting and viability analysis of marine microbial samples using flow cytometry, the extraction and identification of seawater membrane samples, the amplification and identification of genomic DNA, PCR amplification, qPCR, isolation, purification, culture and identification of marine yeast. Through course study and operational practice, students are required to master the basic principles and operational skills of marine molecular biology experiments, and to use these techniques to analyze and solve practical problems in the field of marine molecular biology.
