本课程致力于培养工业设计学生从多种新工科科目中发展设计方案以解决真实问题的能力。在人本设计应用的主题下，学生将摒弃以机器为中心的倾向，深入思考人们如何感知技术的用处和效用。本课程还将训练学生视觉传达设计的技能，以准备采用产品演示视频和推广海报形式的设计项目展示。
Product Design aims to cultivate Industrial Design students’ ability to solve authentic problems through design solutions and across multiple New Engineering Education subjects. Students will be instructed to profoundly think about how people perceive technology’s usefulness under the overarching theme – human-centred design application, instead of machine-centred tendency. Students will also be trained in communication design skills, which allow them to prepare for design project showcases using product demo video and promotional poster.

教学质量不高，很水 。没有什么启发性，按部就班，像在上班。
整个学期的内容其实可以整合到一份20页的PPT以内，甚至不需要额外的讲解。
就是比较纯粹的技工式培养。
