This course starts from the fundamental of light, solar spectrum and semiconductor materials for photovoltaics. Based on these fundamentals, the operation principals of photovoltaics and energy conversion process will be taught. Then, various kinds of solar cells, from conventional silicon solar cells to cutting-edge technology such as perovskite solar cells, will be discussed in each section. Finally, the photovoltaic module and system will be discussed.
