This course systematically introduces the basic theory, history and status of modern space geodesy (including global navigation satellite system,?interferometric synthetic aperture radar, gravity satellite), focusing on its application in soild earth geophysics (e.g., earthquake, geodeynamics and tectonics), space and planetary science (e.g., space physics, deep space exploration), natural hazard (e.g., volcano, landslide, earthquake) forecast and early warning. By studying this course, students will be able to understand the principle of space geodesy, know how to get the geodetic data, broaden scientifc horizon and get better prepared for interdisciplinary research.
