This course will cover the most important issues in engineering project management, including scope management, time management, cost management, quality management, procurement management, etc. In addition to lectures about management theory and theoretical analytical tools, this course will also incorporate the contexts of case studies and project management software use. We want our students to apply theoretical analytical tools into business cases discussion and establish the ability to conduct brief project analyses via software. Throughout the course, students will learn about tools about project management and the techniques to implement them. By the end of the course, students are expected to initiate a project plan, develop project scope, schedule, and budget, and then status them to predict project performance.
