This course will introduce you to the development of industrial design over the past 200 years, with a particular focus on the social, material, economic and cultural contexts of design innovation and development. A significant part of the course is dedicated to the critical analysis of contemporary theories and developments in design, enabling you to develop and present personal visions of the future of design. Skills developed in this course include critical reading, literature research and basic theory application.
