This course is designed to instruct the theoretical foundations as well as applications about production and operations management for undergraduate students. From the theoretical perspective: the course will deliver: 1) Operations strategy and the firm’s competitiveness, 2) Design of the operations system, 3) Operations planning, organizing and control, 4) The improvements of operations system. Also, from the application perspective: the course will guide the students to master: 1) How to solve models via software, and 2) How to take advantage of operational data in real operational settings.
