MATLABis a commercial mathematics software developed by MathWorks in the UnitedStates. It mainly faces a high-tech computing environment of scientificcomputing, visualization and interactive programming. It integrates manypowerful functions, such as numerical analysis, matrix calculation, scientificdata visualization, and nonlinear dynamic system modeling and simulation, in aneasy-to-use window environment, and is used for scientific research, engineering design, and many sciences that must carry out effective numericalcalculations. The content of this course includes: arithmetic symbols, datatypes, vector operations, data input and output, loop statements, scriptcommands and functions, special data structures, special functions, plotting andgraphic commands, object-oriented programming, and graphical user interfaces. This course will introduce the basic concepts, methods, tricks and commonmisunderstandings in MATLAB, and lay a foundation for students to use MATLAB inthe fields of scientific computing, data analysis, simulation modeling and soon.
