This course will Introduce the concept and an overviewof Ergonomics in Design and its applications in several areas of knowledge. The course offers ergonomics as an area of study that examines therelationship between humans and their use of designed objects and environments.Ergonomics is discussed in the context of product design,informational design, behavioral design, user-centered design, built environment design, warnings design,human-computer interaction design, design in industry, game design, healthcaredesign, transport design, affective and pleasurable design, robotic andwearable Design, and sustainable design.Students will produce videos and a posters as courseoutcomes. Lectures will be complemented by videos, directed readings,simulations, case study analyses, and applied exercises.Students must demonstrate the acquired knowledge inclasses exercises and final course outcomes.
