In this course, the students will read Pre-Qinclassics with the help of the teacher, get basic knowledge of Guoxue and thenunderstand the thought of Pre-Qin philosophers and their influence. Therefore,each lecture will be divided into two parts. In the first part (about 80minutes), the students and teacher will read Pre-Qin texts together, while inthe second part (about 20 minutes) the teacher will offer some basic knowledgeabout Pre-Qin classics. This course will help the students to read classics independentlywith the help of reference books and the ancients’ annotations. Then they canlearn the rich wisdom of our ancients from the classics.
