This course is a part of preventive medicine. It observes and studies medicine from different angles together with basic medicine and clinical medicine. The course content includes basic theories of epidemiology and preventive medicine, common research methods, distribution of diseases, causal inference, epidemiological investigations, prevention and management of diseases, monitoring and management public health, investigation of disease outbreaks, and response to public health emergencies et. Through teaching, students should establish prevention concepts, group concepts, environmental concepts and preventive service, master and use the basic principles and basic research methods of epidemiology, combine theory with practice, and better improve the knowledge of disease prevention and control, public health management and emergency response skills.
