Regeneration and repair of injured tissue in is a major issue in the field of life science. The regeneration and repair of damaged tissues is a highly interdisciplinary discipline which involves basic medicine, biology and materials sciences. Not only solid basic knowledge is required, but also translational medical thinking and ability are needed. Its achievements may be used for the treatment, rehabilitation and improvement of quality of life for hundreds of millions of injured patients. This course has 48 class hours and 3 credits. Classroom teaching (39 class hours) will focuse on introducing the history of regeneration and repair of injured tissues, cellular response during wound regeneration and repair, gene and molecular basis of tissue regeneration and repair, introduction to microenvironment and tissue regeneration and repair, bioelectric field and tissue regeneration and repair, oxygen and tissue regeneration and repair, repair materials and tissue regeneration, stem cells/tissue engineering and 3D printing technology and tissue regeneration and repair, repair promoting factors and tissue regeneration and repair, Physical and chemical technologies for promoting tissue regeneration and repair, clinical rules and influencing factors of wound regeneration and repair, as well as excessive tissue regeneration and scar formation. Practice Teaching (9 class hours) will organize students to go to hospitals and wound repair materials related enterprises, enabling students to further understand the transformation of basic research and development.
