The Medical Parasitology helps the students to understand the morphological structure of parasites related to human diseases; the laws of growth, development and reproduction and the interaction with human body; the occurrence and development of parasitic diseases; the pathogenesis, diagnostic methods, epidemic rules and prevention principles of parasitic diseases. It is a basic subject of preventive medicine and clinical medicine, closely related to biology, pathology, immunology, molecular biology and pharmacology. The students can master the ability of cognition and diagnosis of common parasitic diseases, cultivate clinical and scientific thinking, innovative spirit and experimental skills through learning.
