This course teaches digital signal processing and analysis methods for marine geophysics and related disciplines, such as Fourier transform, time-frequency analysis, frequency-wavenumber transform, and singular valued decomposition. The course also provides graduate students of the Department of Ocean Science and Engineering with instructions on signal processing (such as denoising and filtering) for real and simulated marine geophysical data.
