《新发传染病》是一门专业选修课程，主要研究各类新发传染病的临床表现和诊断与鉴别，治疗，重点是可能传入我国的新发传染病的预防、诊断、治疗、发病机制进程、研究进展等。与普通传染病相比，新发传染病由于具有流行范围广、传染性强、传播方式复杂、病死率低、病原体变异性高、诊疗预防难等显著独特性，而广泛深入地影响全球政治和经济。该课程的开设对研究生课程结构和培养基地学科发展均具有现实和深远的意义。教学内容包括冠状病毒病的研究进展、新发传染病的职业防护、新型流感、新发病毒的发现、冠状病毒病的研究进展、埃博拉出血热、锥虫病、新型肠道病毒感染、非结核分枝杆菌感染、寨卡诊治、国际旅行医学、新发传染病的实验室检查、艾滋病机会性感染与机会肿瘤的影像学、新发传染病的病理诊断、应急院区和医院感染管理、科研与实践。每个授课内容2学时，共32学时。 课程考核方式，成绩由平时成绩（出勤20%，课堂表现20%，平时作业 20% ）和期末成绩（期末大作业 40%）两部分组成。教材选用人民卫生出版社出版的《新发传染病》（第3版），卢洪洲、梁晓峰等主编。
The course “Emerging Infectious Diseases” aims at making the postgraduates and undergraduates be familiar with the clinical manifestations of key emerging infectious diseases, understand the principles of the related prevention and control, and develop research ideas and practice methods.This course contents include 16 sections, such as Emerging diseases research updates, Occupational prevention and protection, New flu, Discovery of a new virus, Coronavirus research updates, Ebola hemorrhagic fever, trypanosomiasis, Novel enterovirus infection, Non-tuberculous mycobacterium, Zika, International travel medicine, Laboratory examination of emerging infectious diseases, Imaging of AIDS opportunistic infection and tumor, Pathological diagnosis of emerging infectious diseases, Hospital emergency area and hospital infection management, Research and practice, etc.
