DS401 Research Methods is aligned with the concurrentcourse DS402 Research Project. It introduces students to methods, models, andtheories of design and design research and related visualization and academicwriting techniques. It guides students in selecting and applying these tosupport individual design projects conducted in parallel with DS402. Throughlectures, readings, and guided discussions, students will establish repertoiresof methods and approaches to conduct well-documented and appropriately reasoneddesign research inquiries.
