The purpose of this course is to introduce fundamental principles and technical challenges underlying wireless communications, including wireless channel characteristics, wireless channel capacity, digital modulation/detection and coding over wireless channels, diversity, multiple antennas and space-time communications, multicarrier modulation, adaptive modulation and coding, spread spectrum, cellular systems, Ad Hoc wireless networks, etc.
