<p>The course aims to explore in-depth the fundamental theories andresearch methods of Planetary Geomorphology, encompassing surface features ofsolid planets, applications of spectroscopy and imaging technologies, geochronology and cartography, impact processes, volcanic activities, fluvialand aeolian landforms. Furthermore, it will utilize recent lunar and Marsexploration missions in China as a focal point to familiarize students with thecutting-edge advancements in planetary surface processes through case studies.Throughthis course, students will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the basicprinciples of Planetary Geomorphology and stay updated on the latestdevelopments in the field. The course will also foster students' skills ineffective communication and scientific thinking, enabling them to accuratelyinterpret and analyze planetary geomorphological data and apply it to relevantresearch within the field of planetary science.</p>
