Major Foundational Courses, 3 credits, 3 hours per week. Pre-requisites: There are no prerequisites for this course.The course will provide an in-depth understanding of the basic concepts and techniques of molecular biology, including DNA replication, transcription and translation, gene regulation, protein structure and function, among other topics. The latest research progress and applications, such as gene editing and genome sequencing, will also be covered. The course will also discuss the applications of modern molecular biology in fields such as medicine and biotechnology, as well as future development directions. Through this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of molecular biology and establish a solid foundation for future studies in biomedical-related fields.
