Lecture (includinglab), 3 credits, 2-hour lecture and 2-hour lab session per week. Pre-requisites: MA117 Calculus I. This course startsfrom the fundamental concepts and mathematical representations of the signalsand systems. It then introduces the time-domain signal and its transformations, linear time-invariant system representation and properties, and thediscrete-time and continuous-time Fourier analysis methodology. On the basis ofthese topics, the course then introduces the sampling theorem, and fundamentalconcepts of modulation and demodulation in communication systems.
