3 credits, 2 forlecture, 1 for lab, 4 hours per week. Pre-requisites: Artificial Intelligence (CS303).This course combines theoretical and experimental teaching methods to introducethe basic concepts, ethical principles and issues involved in the ComputationalEthics. The lecture topics include both classic philosophical issues, such asfairness and bias, and emerging state-of-the-art technologies, such as valuealignment in large models. Through studying this course, students will be ableto understand the ethical issues that arise with the usage and development ofcomputing technologies, improve their ability to identify and solve computingethical issues, and cultivate their scientific and technological ethicsawareness as future technical talents.
