This course analyzes the major financial decisions facing corporate managers, introduces the theory and practice of corporate finance, and shows students how to use financial theory to solve practical problems. The major topics include valuation and capital investment decisions, financing decisions, payout policy and capital structure, and mergers and acquisitions. This course is concerned with understanding what financial managers do and why, and what financial managers should do to increase company value.
