本课程将介绍材料科学与工程应用实践中力学的基本概念，包括应变、应力、拉伸、弯曲、扭转、剪切等。学生学习该课程后，将能够应用力学分析方法对结构稳定性进行设计，具备根据结构及具体需要，选择合适的工程材料或构件，分析结构件受力状态，具有判断各类受力条件下材料形变、是否失效的基本能力。
This course will introduce the basic concepts of mechanics in materials science and engineering’s applications, including strain, stress, tensile, bending, torsion, shear, etc. The students will be able to apply mechanics analysis methods to design the structural stability, and have the ability to select appropriate materials or components according to the structure and needs, analyze the stress state of the structure, and whether the material deforms or fails under various stress conditions.
