This field aims todevelop and apply synthetic biology tools and methods to improve medicaldiagnostics, treatment, and life science research. The course primarily coversthe fundamentals of synthetic biology, including biologically based parts,devices, and systems. It also includes various medical application examples,such as drug discovery and development, precision medicine, vaccine research,cell therapy and gene editing, disease diagnosis, as well as artificial celland tissue engineering.
