Over the past two decades, with the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), attention has been focused on Digital Community Engagement (DCE) in the management, dissemination and revitalisation of cultural heritage. The development of social media has brought new social actors into the expression and transmission of cultural heritage. And the intervention of digital network technology makes cultural heritage involve more and more interdisciplinary research issues. How to understand cultural heritage in the digital social era in a more diversified way? How to better express and transmit cultural heritage? These questions need to be constantly reflected upon by students from various fields. This course explores how to better understand and analyse the phenomenon of cultural heritage communication in social media by introducing and explaining the basic understanding of social media and the basic theories of communication. At the same time, through the analysis of actual cases and basic practices, students are encouraged to reproduce, interpret or create based on cultural heritage elements through social media, stimulating individual creativity and personal expression.
