This course systematically introduces the types, fundamental principles, design and construction methods and applicability of different types of mooring systems and offshore foundations in the field of Marine engineering. It includes catenary spread mooring system, taut mooring system, gravity shallow foundation, suction caisson foundation, jack-up spudcan foundation, deep foundation and its design and construction method. Through the study of this course, students will have a systematic and comprehensive understanding of offshore mooring systems and foundation engineering, which will equip them with fundamental professional knowledges and skills for their future work in the marine engineering industry.
