After completing this course, students would understand the behaviour of steelreinforced concrete structures, the design concepts and basic calculationmethods of concrete structures. They would be able to design common concrete membersin engineering problems. In addition, students would develop a basicunderstanding of the principle and calculation of fiber reinforced polymer(FRP) concrete; and have basic knowledge of the current status and perspectivesof novel concrete structures in ocean engineering.
