本课程关注中国城镇化进程中的前沿问题，以讲授和课堂讨论相结合的方式，通过人口、土地、户籍、交通、资源环境、大事件、乡村变迁等专题形式，为学生提供审视中国城镇化过程、特点和挑战的机会，锻炼学生理论结合实际的能力，鼓励以批判和创造性思维构建对中国城镇化进程中热点问题的深入理解。 This course covers a wide range of frontier issues regarding urbanization in China. This course is structured by key themes of Chinese urbanization that includes migration, land development, household registration, environment & natural resources, mega events, rural transformation and so forth. By combing lectures and tutorials, the course will provide students an opportunity to scrutinize the process, characteristics and challenges of Chinese urbanization. The students are encouraged to connect theories with empirical experience and develop their own in-depth understanding of key issues in Chinese urbanization with critical and innovative thinking.
