The elements and activities of a city are not randomly distributed throughout the city, but are organized systematically according to certain spatial positions. This course interprets urban morphology involving spacial geometric features, human activities and natural environments in different cities.The course is organized around discovery teaching method, students work primarily in groups; learning and knowledge are interactive and dynamic. The learning process is composed of four steps: creating problems, analyzing situations, interpreting knowledge and forming concepts. from the practical projects, films, field trips, in-class discussions, students will discover the corresponding principles and conclusions in urban planning.
