学生完成本课程后，将会：（1）掌握关于矿物物理学的基本原理和方法；（2）具有应用矿物物理的结果理解地球和其它行星内部结构、组成、动力学和演化的能力；（3）通过进行学期项目和口头报告学习怎样开展地球与行星内部物理学的科学研究。
Upon completion of the course, students will:(1) master the basic principles and methods in mineral physics (2) be able to apply the results in mineral physics to understanding the internal structure, composition, dynamics, and evolution of Earth and other planetary bodies;(3) learn how to conduct research in the areas of Earth and planetary interiors by conducting a term research project and give an oral presentation.
