Upon completion of the course, students will:(1) master the basic principles and methods in mineral physics (2) be able to apply the results in mineral physics to understanding the internal structure, composition, dynamics, and evolution of Earth and other planetary bodies;(3) learn how to conduct research in the areas of Earth and planetary interiors by conducting a term research project and give an oral presentation.
