This course provides and understanding of the theoretical basis, synthetic processes and experimental techniques for nanomaterials and devices, including the synthesis and characterization of zinc oxide nanoparticles, including transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy; the synthesis and characterization of graphene, including transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and raman spectroscopy; the synthesis and characterization of mesoporous silicone oxide materials, including scanning electron microscopy, low-angle X-ray diffraction and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm BET method.
