Theory course, 2 credits, 2 credit hours/week. Chinese fine art has a long history and rich heritage, which claims an extremely glorious position in the history of world culture and art. Setting up the course of Chinese fine art history in colleges and universities is an important aspect for vivid education of patriotism and historical materialism. It is indispensable for stimulating national self-esteem and self-confidence and cultivating talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, art and labor. This course takes the development time of human art history as the vertical axis and extends before and after. It discusses the related contents of painting, sculpture, craft, murals and architecture in different periods. Through the changes of history and the development and changes of fine art forms and contents, it deems history as a mirror to improve students' cultural and artistic accomplishment.
