Popular Music Appreciation and Performance is designed to present students a comprehensive and normal understanding of pop music. In the course of study, we will probe into "Why is pop music popular?" "How can we appreciate pop songs?" "How did the music superstars come into being?" and other music topics that college students are deeply interested in. The students may learn about a variety of different styles and types of pop music, and discuss or argue focusing on pop culture and pop music analysis, including music production, musicians and stars, music texts, music media, audiences, fans and subcultures.
