This course starts from the introduction of basic concepts in genetic engineering, then the technologies frequently used in the laboratories to manipulate genetic materials. It then introduces the real cases of modifying and using living systems in research, agriculture and industry. Finally the impact of genetic engineering on human beings’ wellbeing will be discussed.
