本课程强调单变量微积分的基本概念、性质，培养学生们使用微积分的思想去解决其它科学领域的能力。本课程主要讲授极限与连续性理论、单变量微分及其应用、单变量积分及其应用、一阶常微分方程的简单介绍。
In this course, we emphasize intuitive and conceptual understanding of the theory of single-variable Calculus, and nurture the mentality and the ability to use Calculus to solve problems in other scientific disciplines. The course will cover limits and continuity, derivatives, single variable integrals, and first-order ordinary differential equations.
