At this exciting era in cell biology, cell biologists are able to reach old mysteries in cell biology through experimental dissection and to illustrate dynamic cellular processes in real time. This is an advanced course in cell biology for seriously interested students of cell biology wishing to expand theoretical knowledge on fundamentals of cell biology. Specific topics in cell biology about membrane, organelle, cytoskeleton structure, function and dynamics, cell division and cell cycle, cell death, cell polarity, cell adhesion and migration, stem cell and development, and cancer cell biology will be discussed with emphasis on critical analysis and effective communication of scientific information. Research papers about each topic are handed out for students to review in advance and will be discussed in each lecture.
